Location: Farmington, CT – In-office 5 days a week, but with work hours flexibility
Compensation: $45,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year (based on experience)

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, full-time Bookkeeper and Administrative person to join our team for this newly created role. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of QuickBooks accounting software and a willingness to perform various office administration tasks. Although this is an in-office position in Farmington, CT, there is also the potential for a hybrid office/work-from-home workweek once fully acclimated and based on an as-needed basis.
Job Responsibilities:
The candidate will be responsible for providing a variety of bookkeeping and administrative services, including but not limited to:
- Bookkeeping Duties: Manage QuickBooks online and desktop applications for certain select clients, including data entry of banking transactions, bank account reconciliation and other tasks to insure accurate monthly reporting of financial data to both clients and for firm use at the end of the year
- Administrative Duties: Greeting local clients during tax season, receiving and scanning client data for tax return preparation by our professional staff, data entry for tax reporting (i.e. 1099s), direct client communications, assist with special projects and other office administrative duties as needed; identify opportunities for process improvement and assist with their implementation
- Upward Job Mobility: As a matter of practice, our firm provides resources and training to foster job experience and career growth, and will generally promote from within the firm for any new position
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:
- Accounting, bookkeeping and/or administrative work experience is required
- Proficiency or working knowledge of various computer software applications: QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel & Word are required; tax preparation software is a plus
- Organizational and time management skills, with an attention to detail
- Quality written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Adherence to the highest level of confidentiality
- Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
